We are looking for an international, UK-based partner’s chief accountant who would like to expand their classic accounting responsibilities towards reporting and budgeting.
Naturally, we welcome applications from candidates who have already proven themselves in a similar role.
Location of work: 10th district
Some key points:
- the professional leader is sitting in Germany – English is the primary working language
- our client conducts manufacturing activities in Hungary (150+ FTE)
- accounting is done in JD Edwards
- experience in IFRS consolidation is an advantage
Responsibilities:
- supervising the accountant daily routine, being in direct riporting line to the regional CFO
- review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
- handling monthly and annual financial closings (HAS), making tax returns
- liaise with auditors, tax and other local authorities
- responsible for budgeting, forecasting, cash management, ad-hoc management reporting
- approving all financial data for consolidation (IFRS)
- ensuring compliance with the company's policies
Requiremets:
- Registered chartered accountant qualification; IFRS would be an advantage
- IFRS knowledge is an advantage
- Proven track record as a chief accountant (manufacturing background would be a plus!)
- Fluent English – the entire recruitment process would be hold in English
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders in different location
