We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer for our Turkish-owned client who will act as the connecting link between the center in Izmir and the Budapest office.
Currently, team management is not part of the position, as accounting is outsourced to an accounting firm.
Our client’s core activity is manufacturing, supplying various sectors globally such as agriculture, and industrial manufacturing - They are an indispensable market player.
The work location is in the 5th district.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance activities of the local office (external accounting service provider is used)
- Ensure that all monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual financial reports are prepared in accordance with the local legal requirements
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Consolidate and update a quarterly operational budget
- Validate invoices and track relevant payments
- Review “budgets with actuals” reports
- Lead budgeting processes
- Work with the external auditors to ensure that there is proper segregation of duties in all financial functions
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in accounting / business / economics / finance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance (Big4 audit would be an advantage
- Fluency in English and also in Hungarian
- Experience in budget monitoring and managing financial reporting requirements
- Deep understanding of the Hungarian financial legislation
- Balance of strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated success in achieving results under challenging implementation circumstances
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Deep understanding of business principles and practices
- Please note that initially travelling to the HQ (Turkey) would be essential
