Our multinational client is looking for a Fixed Assets Accountant colleague for their team.
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with about 2-3 years of fixed assets or general accounting experience, and excellent English knowledge.
Your tasks will be as a Fixed Assets Accountant:
- Maintain and update Fixed Asset ledger accounts for US GAAP and statutory reporting.
- Perform timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve issues.
- Assign transaction codes and ensure month-end settlements.
- Record monthly depreciation and prepare journal entries.
- Assist with annual property tax filings and ensure documents are processed in the correct accounting period.
- Verify accuracy and consistency of accounting documents and resolve issues.
- Communicate discrepancies and manage physical asset counts and tagging.
- Assist with monthly corporate reporting and maintain closing schedules.
- Analyze balance sheets and income statements for discrepancies.
- Process accruals and prepare monthly Fixed Asset roll forwards.
- Assist with Quarterly Variance Reports and corporate questionnaires.
- Prepare and distribute Quarterly FA Impairment Memo and Fixed Asset Register.
- Assist with unique and critical projects involving general accounting systems.
- Support internal control reviews and audit requests.
- Resolve auditing issues and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of related experience in fixed assets or general accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Fluent in English
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to think both analytically and conceptually
