Our German multinational partner company is looking for a German speaking GL Accountant colleague for their growing SSC.
The ideal candidate should have minimum 1 year of GL accounting experience, and fluent English and German knowledge.
Your tasks will be as a GL Accountant
- Manage Manual & Semi-automatic postings
- Reconcile reports
- Bank statement posting to GL accounts
- FX transaction and perform posting
- Decide on Accounting treatment for deferred items, perform postings
- Accrual and provision management
- Manage Profit & Loss
- General Ledger Closing
- Own and manage internal operational controls, Prepare documentation for auditor/tax authorities
- As part of the General Ledger Accountant role, manage Asset Accounting related activities:
- Asset master data maintenance, setting up of asset classes
- Managing acquisitions, disposals, revaluation, depreciation
- Be adherent to agreed service levels, policies and procedures
- Identify, evaluate and resolve issues (incl. process improvements)
- Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship
- Ensure that all process manuals/relevant work instructions are created and updated on a regular basis
Requirements:
- University degree in Economics or Finance with major in accounting or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in GL accounting
- Very good English and German language skills
- Very good understanding of the GL processes
- Continuous Improvement and Quality mindset
- Strong customer orientation
- Self-starting attitude and ability to work independently
- Strong team-player
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize the right things at the right time
